Delete Your Data
You don't need to email us.
Budget Lock has no account and no server. Your data lives only on your device. Deleting it takes three taps inside the app — no email confirmation, no waiting period, no support ticket.
Delete everything from your device
- Open Budget Lock and unlock your vault as normal.
- Go to Settings → Destroy Vault.
- Confirm three times, then type
ERASEwhen prompted.
That’s it. Everything is wiped from the device — your data, your keys, your recovery key, your avatar. The app returns to its fresh-install state.
Also delete cloud backups (only if you used Cloud Backup)
If you previously enabled Cloud Backup to your Google Drive, do this before uninstalling so the in-app helper can clean up Drive for you:
- Open Budget Lock and unlock.
- Go to Settings → Cloud Backup.
- Tap Delete all Drive backups.
- Tap Sign Out (this also tells Google to forget the app).
You can check the deletion at drive.google.com — the Budget Lock backup folder will be empty.
Then uninstall the app
Once Destroy Vault is complete (and Cloud Backup is cleaned up if you used it), you can uninstall the app like any other Android app:
- Long-press the Budget Lock icon on your home screen.
- Tap Uninstall (or drag to the uninstall area).
After uninstall, no trace of you is left anywhere — not on your phone, not with us, not with any third party.
What if you lost access and can't open the app?
If you have your recovery key, tap "Forgot password?" on the lock screen, then "Use recovery key". Then follow the steps above.
Lost both? There’s nothing to recover — just uninstall.
