1. Agreement

Installing or using Budget Lock means these terms apply. The app is published by AAS Codeworks.

2. License

You can install and use Budget Lock on your own devices for personal use. Please don’t reverse-engineer, repackage, or distribute the app outside official app stores.

3. What Budget Lock does

Budget Lock is an offline, encrypted personal-finance manager. It tracks accounts, transactions, budgets, savings goals, loans, EMIs, and recurring bills. Data is encrypted on your device. Optional cloud backup uploads encrypted files to your own Google Drive.

4. What Budget Lock doesn't do

Not a bank, broker, or licensed financial advisor. No investment, tax, or legal advice. No bank-account linking. The numbers shown are for personal tracking and may contain errors.

5. Your responsibility

Forget your master password → your data is gone. We can’t help. Your recovery key only works on the phone that created it, because it is held in that device’s keystore rather than inside the vault file — it cannot open a backup restored onto a different phone.

You are responsible for your master password, your recovery key, your device security, and your backups.

6. Ads and in-app purchases

Free tier shows ads from Google AdMob. “Remove Ads” is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Refunds follow the store’s rules.

7. Budget Lock for Windows

Budget Lock for Windows is sold from this website rather than through an app store. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. A licence is for your own personal use and may be installed on the computers you personally use.

You can use the free version for as long as you like. It opens your vault, shows every screen and exports your data; adding, changing and deleting are what the purchase turns on.

Refunds. If the app does not work for you, email support@budgetlock.app within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full. No reason needed. Because the free version lets you check the app against your own vault before paying, we ask that you do that first.

8. No warranty

Budget Lock is provided as-is with no warranties. No guarantees about performance, accuracy, compatibility, or uninterrupted operation. You use the app at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

Our maximum liability is the greater of:

For free users that means zero. Not responsible for indirect losses (lost data, lost income, or consequential damages from app use).

Local consumer protections (where applicable) are not waived by these terms.

10. Termination

You can stop using Budget Lock any time. Just uninstall the app. There is no account to delete and no subscription to cancel. "Remove Ads" is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to renew or stop.

We may stop publishing or updating the app, or change its features, at any time without notice. If we discontinue the app, we will notify you on this site so you can export your vault.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law. Local consumer protections apply regardless of these terms.

12. Grievance officer

If something about this app or this website is wrong and you want it put right, write to our grievance officer, Riyazuddin Mohammad, at support@budgetlock.app, or by post to AAS Codeworks, 30/354, Malakapatnam, Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh 521001, India.

We will acknowledge your message within 48 hours and do our best to resolve it within one month. This is published under Rule 4(5) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
