Terms of use
The short version
- The assistant file is free to download and use.
- It can misunderstand you. Check what it did; Undo reverses a change.
- It is provided as is, without warranty.
1. Using the file
The file works with Budget Lock 1.7.2 or newer on Android, and with Budget Lock for Windows. On Android the assistant is a beta feature: it starts switched off, and you turn it on in Settings → Offline Assistant. You can remove the file at any time in the same settings; the assistant then keeps working in simple mode.
2. It can make mistakes
The assistant uses an AI model and can misunderstand a sentence. Check what it did after each request; Undo reverses a change. Before it creates something new with a name, such as a goal or an account, it asks you first.
The assistant helps you enter and look up your own records. It is not financial advice.
3. Downloading
The app downloads the file only when you tap Download it here. The download starts on budgetlock.app and the file comes from GitHub, where it is stored, so GitHub's Terms of Service and Privacy Statement also apply to that download.
4. No warranty
The file is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, as the Apache License 2.0 sets out. We can't promise it will understand every sentence or run on every device.
5. Everything else
Budget Lock's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy also apply. Questions: support@budgetlock.app.
