Questions
Why is it called beta?
It's new and still being tested, so it starts switched off and asks before every change it makes. Turn it on in Settings → Offline Assistant.
Do I need the internet?
Only to download the file. After that, the assistant works offline.
Where does the download come from?
The download starts on budgetlock.app, and the file comes from our page on GitHub, where it is stored. The Privacy Policy explains what that means for you.
Can the assistant make mistakes?
Yes. It uses an AI model and can misunderstand a sentence. Check what it did; Undo reverses a change.
What if the download stops?
Start it again and it carries on where it stopped. Budget Lock checks the file before using it.
Can I remove it?
Yes. Go to Settings → Offline Assistant → Remove the assistant file. The assistant keeps working in simple mode.
Will it run on my phone?
It runs on most Android phones from the last few years. If yours can't run it, the app tells you.
